Meet me in the meadow my love,

The meadow where we met my love
when we were wild and free.
I waited all night in the meadow my love
waiting and hoping to see,
you standing there in the meadow my love
faithfully waiting for me.
You never made it to the meadow my love
a twist of fate took you away.
Away from me and our meadow my love
a grief I will bear all my days.
I wait every night in the meadow my love
I kneel on my knees and pray.
That we'll meet again in the meadow my love
when God calls me home that sweet day.
